COVID-19 CARES Act
I hope this finds you and your loved ones healthy & safe during this challenging period our Nation is facing. While all businesses have been negatively affected by the effects of COVID-19, none have suffered more that those small-to-medium sized businesses that have been determined to be non-essential. These businesses are the engine that drives the American economy. Fortunately, the federal government has stepped up with the CARES Act. I encourage you to click this link webinar we presented last week to a Q&A Covid-19 webinar that Keystone Insurers Group presented last week to Keystone member agencies – of which we are one. The webinar is insurance centric and technical in nature. However, as insurance agencies insure America’s businesses, much of what we discuss is about you and your business. This webinar includes discussions on HR concerns, coverage and exposure issues with employees working from home, loss of business income and more. We encourage you to listen.
The second webinar focuses on small-to-medium sized businesses and how “they” can access the benefits provided by the CARES Act. Several years ago, Keystone became a member of the Counsel of Insurance Agents and Brokers (“CIAB”). One of the numerous benefits of membership is the support CIAB provides members through their legal, marketing, claims, and legislative divisions. The CIAB claims and marketing divisions worked together to produce a recorded webinar that thru Keystone’s membership in CIAB and by virtue of our membership with Keystone we can share this webinar and the slides with you. We hope it helps with the continuation & success of your business through this very challenging time. Please know that you may contact us with any questions you may have. Yes, we’re all working remotely but, so far, the technology seems to be working.
In closing, please know that we pray that you and those you care about remain healthy and safe. Rest assured we will overcome this enemy, we shall persevere and our businesses, our families and our Nation will remain united and strong!
